The Cockrell Hill Fire Department is an all-volunteer team of professionals that provide fire, rescue, and emergency medical first response to the citizens of the City of Cockrell Hill and surrounding areas under the Dallas County Mutual Aid Agreement. A lot of what the Cockrell Hill Fire Department has been able to accomplish has been due to donations by persons who support volunteer fire departments and understand the under funding of volunteer departments by local governmental agencies. With the help of citizens the department has been able to purchase trucks (Engine 223, Support 224, Truck 221, and Booster 226), equipment (new bunker gear, K-12 Rescue saws, new fire hoses, new TFT nozzles, upgrade to 45 min SCBA bottles, chain saws, all of the medical equipment used for EMS calls), safety equipment (handheld radios for all firefighters, PASS devices for all SCBA's, new SCBA masks, training library, and new RIT equipment), and fire prevention ( purchase of a remote control robot and fire truck, coloring books, stickers, and videos). All of these were bought by the department by its members or with donations. Currently the Cockrell Hill Fire Department needs your help. With the continued lack of funding the Cockrell Hill Fire Department is in need of funding assistance to continue its growth and advancement forward. Currently funding is needed in the area of training and certification, equipment purchase, and fire prevention.

The Cockrell Hill Fire Department is a 501 C-3 Non-Profit Organization and any donations to the Department are tax deductible.
